JASMINE LACEY
Family Lawyer
Education
- Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Griffith University
- Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Griffith University
I commenced my career in the legal industry in 2020 following my relocation from country Victoria. I initially worked in criminal law and domestic violence matters while simultaneously completing a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University.
In 2023, I transitioned from criminal law to join a well-respected multidisciplinary firm on the Gold Coast, where I worked exclusively in family law as a law clerk. I was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland in Brisbane in September 2024, embarking on my journey as a lawyer.
My early career exposure to criminal law, domestic violence, and later child protection matters underpins the strict confidentiality and utmost professionalism I bring to all client interactions.
I am deeply committed to guiding clients through their family law matters with compassion and clarity. I understand the emotional burden that can accompany engaging a family lawyer and strive to minimise that burden by providing clear, practical advice and steady support.
I approach each matter pragmatically, with strategy and my clients’ needs at the forefront.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking my groodle along the Gold Coast’s beautiful beaches and attempting little sewing projects.
