INITIAL MEETING WITH US
We don’t muck around! Our clients are parents, business people, and professionals – they are time-poor, so we need to cut to the chase.
While free initial meetings are offered by some law firms, they can be a bit underwhelming, particularly when they see only general information provided, by a junior lawyer.
HOW WE WORK
Our clients tend not to have the time for that, so we jump straight into the nitty-gritty. At an initial meeting with us, you will meet the Family Lawyer who will be acting for you.
They will take you through the law which applies to your case. They will talk to you about the factors unique to your case, and how to manage them. And they will tailor options which can work in your particular circumstances.
FIXED FEES
For a fixed fee of $550 for an initial consultation for lawyers with 10+ years of experience, and $350 for those with less than 10 years of experience, inclusive of GST, you will leave that meeting with steps that have been crafted for you, based on our years of experience in dealing with situations just like yours.
For most people, that means a clear direction and you’ll walk away from the meeting knowing what your next steps will be.
Accordingly, we do not see our meeting with you as a sales pitch, but rather, an opportunity to help you answer the questions which have been occupying your mind, and to help you with the things that have been keeping you up at night.
We want to provide you with as much value as possible in this initial meeting.
Pay an Invoice
You can pay online by credit or debit card using your matter reference number found on your invoice or statement. Please ensure that you pay the correct amount.
We use the services of Legl to process your payment securely. Payments are processed using the highest security standards to encrypt your details and keep your personal data safe.
When you click ‘Pay Online’ you will be redirected to Legl’s payments portal where your payment will be taken. You will receive immediate email confirmation following a successful payment.

Alternative Payment Arrangements & JustFund
If you would prefer to pay your legal fees at the end of your matter, have unexpected fees or expenses to meet or are otherwise concerned about your ability to pay our fees, there may be options to assist you. Our firm has partnered with JustFund. JustFund provides funding options to individuals in their family law matters. Where eligible, JustFund can provide financial assistance in the form of a line of credit to pay legal fees and related costs, and repayment is usually required once your property matter reaches settlement.
