My love of the written word led me to initially pursue a career in journalism after finishing high school. I graduated with a Bachelor of Communications (majoring in journalism and public relations) in 2003 and began working as a court reporter for the daily newspaper.
I was given a front row seat to criminal court proceedings and witnessed firsthand the integral role that lawyers play within the judicial system. Their advocacy, passion and dedication to their clients inspired me to join the legal profession.
In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Griffith University. The following year, I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology and was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia.
After my admission, I gravitated towards family law matters and soon realised that this was the area of law I wanted to practice in.
In 2024, I completed my Master's in Applied Family Law (Majoring in Family Dispute Resolution) at The College of Law.
I enjoy working with people from all walks of life to resolve their parenting and property matters in a respectful manner whilst achieving the best possible outcome. Over the years, I have worked hard to maintain balance between my professional and family life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, and together we love hooking up the caravan and exploring the coastline.
