Ash is a People and Talent leader with over 14 years’ experience building and delivering hiring and people strategies across high-growth scale-ups, global organisations and more traditional environments undergoing transformation - transitioning reactive HR environments into structured, scalable and performance-driven functions.
His background spans Talent Acquisition, HR and People Operations, where he has partnered closely with founders and leadership teams to solve practical challenges around hiring, workforce planning, performance and organisational effectiveness. Ash has also worked across business operations in some of his previous roles, ensuring the business’ commercial strategy is included in any People and Culture initiatives he undertakes.
He has delivered hiring across APAC, US and EMEA within multi-jurisdictional and remote environments, and has experience building Talent Acquisition functions from the ground up, as well as improving existing processes to increase quality, efficiency and candidate experience.
Ash takes a holistic approach to the people function - spanning People & Culture, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, compensation and benefits and people systems - to enable sustainable business growth through strong people foundations, effective workforce design and high-quality hiring.
Ash brings strong HR generalist capability across employee relations, performance accountability and people operations, allowing him to operate across the full employee lifecycle as both a hands-on delivery partner and a strategic advisor.
Ash combines commercial thinking and data-informed decision making with empathy, ensuring people strategies are both effective and grounded in real employee experience.
Outside of work, Ash can usually be found walking his two Aussie Shepherds, Red and Blue, at the beach, or out for a motorcycle ride in the hinterland. Food is also his love language and Ash will often spend the weekend making a slow cooked curry or venture great distances for good ramen or a Reuben sandwich. He also likes gaming and has been known to spend a few hours on the weekend on his PlayStation.
