We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our Complex Financial Matters Team, supporting our lawyers on sophisticated property and financial family law matters.

About the Role
You will work closely with senior lawyers in our Complex Financial Matters Team, assisting with the preparation and management of high-value financial matters.

The role combines paralegal work, file management, litigation preparation and client support, helping ensure complex matters progress smoothly and efficiently.

Day in the Life – Complex Financial Matters Paralegal

No two days are identical, but a typical day in this role might include:

• Reviewing incoming disclosure (bank statements, financial records) and isolating key transactions
• Preparing court documents and organising annexures so they are ready for filing
• Coordinating service of documents and liaising with process servers
• Preparing mediation or hearing bundles so lawyers and counsel can quickly locate key material
• Organising large disclosure files so financial information can be analysed efficiently
• Monitoring compliance dates and diarising upcoming court deadlines
• Liaising with experts, mediators or chambers to confirm availability
• Assisting lawyers to prepare briefs to counsel or trial materials
• Ensuring files remain structured, searchable and ready for the next stage of the matter

Who We’re Looking For
You will likely thrive in this role if you:

• Have experience in Family Law complex financial matters paralegal work
• Are extremely organised and detail-oriented (just for a bit of fun – and so we know you’ve read this ad – please include the word ‘Lavender’ in your application)
• Enjoy working on complex matters with many moving parts
• Take pride in clear, structured and well-presented documents
• Are comfortable communicating with clients, lawyers and third parties
• Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment

Essential

• Minimum 5+ years Family Law experience in complex financial matters
• Strong organisational and document management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems (ActionStep preferred)

You must have the right to live and work in Australia, and be able to work at our Coomera office.
