Family law is personal. Behind every matter is a person, a family and often a significant period of change. I believe good family law advice should not only be legally sound, but should also be practical, compassionate and delivered in a way that helps clients feel informed and confident about what comes next.
Originally from Aotearoa (New Zealand), I now call Australia home. I am a family lawyer who has worked in the legal industry for more than a decade, with the majority of my experience dedicated to family law.
Since my admission in 2023, I have had the privilege of working closely with Accredited Specialists in Family Law and within specialist family law practices. These experiences have played an important role in shaping my approach to working with clients and my overall development as a lawyer.
I place great importance on building genuine rapport with my clients and approaching each matter with empathy, sensitivity and practicality. My aim is to help clients understand their legal entitlements and options, while working towards a resolution that allows them to move forward with confidence and, where possible, without unnecessary conflict or delay. I consider it a privilege to support my clients through that process.
My background extends beyond the traditional family law sphere. Prior to practising on the Gold Coast, I worked in the Scenic Rim across criminal law, property law and wills and estates. Combined with my work in parenting and children’s matters, divorce, property settlements and domestic violence, this broader experience allows me to approach matters with a holistic perspective.
Having worked my way through the legal profession, from legal receptionist and legal secretary to practice manager and paralegal, and now as a family lawyer, I have a firsthand appreciation for the role every member of a legal team plays in achieving a positive outcome for clients. That experience has enhanced the way I work: collaboratively, rationally and with a strong focus on delivering quality service.
Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me riding my horse in the countryside, reading or enjoying nature. I am also a member of the Zonta Club of Beaudesert Area Inc., which advocates for gender equality and works to build a better future for women and girls.
